thought it was an original idea, but as it turned out, everyone else in the Metropolitan area was there too. THe place was packed! But, in spite of the crowds, long lines and pouring rain, we had a great time and managed to see everything: the dinosaur exhibit, the IMAX movie, The Space Show and Lorraine went in to see the butterfly exhibit which she said was great. The IMAX movie, Dolphins, was good and The Space Show which was narrated by Tom Hanks and featured a ride through a black hole was pretty amazing. I just wouldn't feel right if I didn't complain a little about how much everything cost. It cost $56 for both of us to see everything the place had to offer and $32 to park the car. We did have a nice time though. |

greens, string beans, string bean casserole, candied yams, baked beans and German Chocolate cake for dessert. Kelly made the cake which really hit the spot after quite a food fest. I broke in my new Original Cajun Injector Deluxe 30-quart Turkey Fry Kit and Seafood Boiler. The weather wasn't cooperative with the wind and drizzle, but I managed to fry a mean bird. I used 3.75 quarts of canola oil. After it reached 350 degrees, I put the turkey in and let it fry for 45 minutes. It was the best turkey ever. Of course Archie and Pebbles took part in the Easter activities too. I included a picture of Pebbles napping by the woodstove waiting for the Easeter Bunny on Sat, nite. The last one is Archie playing with the new toy Kelly brought him. |
